Brighton Chapel has created many ministries to help our congregation accomplish our vision of reaching up, out, and in.
Outreach Ministry
This ministry supports our United States and foreign missions. The outreach ministry strives to make the congregation more aware of the missionary work going on around them.
Seasonal Decorating Ministry
These people are responsible for making the church look so beautiful throughout the major seasons of the year. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please see Sherrie Larimer.
Property Ministry
The property ministry takes care of the church facilities and resources. Just because you are not a trustee, does not mean you cannot help take care of our facility. There is always upkeep to do around here. Contact Mark Larimer if you would like to help out with the church facility. There is always a list of things to do!
Sound & PowerPoint Ministry
This ministry facilitates the mult-media equipment. If you would like to help out with our powerpoint presentations or with our sound, please see David Larimer.
Usher Ministry
This ministry is in charge of collecting and counting the offering, counting attendance, and helping new and late comers find their seats. As you can see every Sunday morning, many different men help in this ministry. If you are interested, please see one of our head ushers: Mark Larimer or Ron Workman.
Greeter Ministry
This ministry is in charge of passing out bulletins and helping new people find their way around. They are to welcome people into the church as they walk through the doors. If you would like to sign up to be greeters one Sunday, please see Jodie Hall.
Nursery Ministry
This ministry plans for childcare needs. Because of the increase of infants in our church, both Sunday School and the morning service have increased their number of workers. If you would like to donate your time to helping watch children, see Angelique Larimer.
Funeral Meal Ministry
Whenever a death occurs in connection with someone in our church, a meal is offered to them after the memorial service. If you'd like to make a dish for any of these funeral dinners, please contact Leona Long.
Stewardship Ministry
This minsitry strives to promote the proper handling of funds for our church and the individuals in our body. This ministry gives out scholarships to members who are in college. If you would like to find out more about scholarships, conatct Dan Hobbs.
Deacons
The deacons care for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the church. They organize people to provide meals to someone in need, support small groups, oversee funeral arrangements, set-up for communion, visit the hospital when need arises, and give financially to church families who are in need.
Church Picnic
Every summer our church spends a Sunday afternoon at the park eating and playing together. If you would like to help plan this event, see one of our deacons.
Worship Ministry
This ministry oversees and plans the worship events. Some examples include: Easter services, Christmas Eve service, Senior Saint's Day, Mother's Day, etc. If you ever have an idea for a service please contact Rod Holmes.
Discipleship Ministry
This minsitry cares for the spiritual maturity of the church including Sunday School and other education needs.
Library Ministry
Our library has a wonderful collection of both fictional and non-fictional Christian books. Karen Leu is in charge of this ministry. Help is always needed, though.
Small Group Ministry
We offer several small groups which meet on the first and third Sunday evenings of every month. We currently have 9 small groups which range in size from 8-16 people in each group. See one of the pastors if you would like to sign up for the rest of the year.
Women's Bible Study
If you're interested in growing in the Word and have free time on Tuesday mornings, try out this Bible Study. Nursery is provided as the moms discuss various books of the Bible from 9:30-11:00 am. Also, there is a women's Bible Study on Tuesday evenings.
Sunday School–9 am
We have classes for children ages 2 through high school. Nursery is available for children from birth to 2 years old at this time. Also, we offer 5 quality adult classes which range in age from college to Senior Saints.
Junior Church
During the sermon time, the children are dismissed for their own learning time. We have two different age groups: S.T.E.P.S. (ages 4 through 2nd grade) and Out Loud (grades 3-6) which learn at their own level.
Youth Ministry
The youth are given many opportunities that help them grow as young believers. They meet Wednesday evenings 6:30-7:45 pm. Hot spots, monthly activities, fundraisers, service projects, and youth trips are some of the major things our youth are involved in. Our youth also plan and put on major events like the Fall Funfest and assist with VBS Carnival. If you are interested in helping out with the youth in any way, please see Pastor Rob.
Elders
The elders give spiritual direction to our church through casting vision, teaching, and prayer. They must qualify under the requirements of
1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Currently, we have six elders: John Larimer, Mark Larimer, Mark Leu, Carl Schmidt, Matt Weimer, and Ron Workman.
